A phone OS is hard to leave not because it has the most features, but because it knows my habits: which apps I actually open, which input suggestions I pick, which notifications can stay quiet, where files tend to live.
AI today feels more like a tool I can swap out at any time. If it could accumulate preferences, memory and everyday routines the way an OS does — customised down to “this one person” — dependence would probably grow on its own.
So the competition may not be entirely about the model, but about who turns personalisation into a system that keeps growing.
There is a boundary, though: the better it knows me, the more it has to be trusted.
Life needs less overthinking. Do more. Feel more.
